In the low-cost off-the-shelf range of FFT cores there are two options:
the HiSpeed, for up to 100Msps
complex inputs, and the QuadSpeed for up to 400Msps complex inputs.
These cores are intended for use in applications where processing
speed is critical and optimum use of available silicon is required.
The
FFT cores are radix-2, fully pipelined, complex FFTs and are highly
optimised in terms of their memory, multiplier and logic use. Use
of the optional Interleavers / De-interleavers enables several channels
to be multiplexed through the same core.
The cores are supplied in netlist or bit stream form for Xilinx
and Altera FPGAs, and include bit-true Matlab models, and VHDL testbenches.
Our automated design methodology enables us to tailor the core parameters
to exactly match the application requirements. Parameters such as
input bit width, twiddle bit width, bit growth and output bit width
are fully adjustable by RFEL. Furthermore the bit-reverser and input
buffer can be exluded from the design, providing a more compact
core where these features are not required. Using this methodology
it is quick and cost effective for RFEL to create FFT cores that
precisely match the systems requirements.
Alternatively,
a selection of HiSpeed and QuadSpeed FFT cores targetted at the
most common FFT requirements are available on the Xilinx
FFT Library. Supplied on CD, this product includes a range of
FFT cores for different transform lengths, sample rates, and device
types.
More detailed information is contained in the datasheets, which
are available for download.
